Babies
Penny and her babies
No not me - we're done, but Penny is obsessed with her babies - I couldn't resist an early am picture of Penny. When she wakes up, she calls for me "Ma!" I come in her room and she is usually waiting for me at the door with both of her babies. She sleeps with these babies, these babies come with us everywhere! Usually I can convince her to leave one of the babies at home - one baby is enough to contend with. The first baby is bitty baby, this was purchased by my mom when I was pregnant with Penny. When Penny was born, she was smaller than bitty baby - I have pictures - it makes me melancholy to think about that. The other baby was one that my mom had bought Jon on one of our sojourns to Zionsville, they had, not sure if they still have a killer doll store - mom loved dolls and didn't see any reason why a little boy of 18 months shouldn't have one. So that is the other baby - now out of HIS boy clothes and into a girlie sleeper. It is amazing to me the difference with boys and girls, just amazing. Penny cares for her babies, feeds them, dresses them - pushes them around in the stroller - she even scolds them! (I have no idea where she learned that!) This isn't to say that she hasn't been seen going "Alien" with one of her brother's Ben Ten watches (which is hilarious to say the least).
Mom with my bitty baby Penny - four weeks old
Penny at 6 weeks
Wow- so different.
Anyway - I was overcome with that realization this morning and wanted to share.
Thanks!

I love the look on your mom's face while holding Penny - such a proud moment to hold her granddaughter. Looks like Penny is carrying on your mom's love of dolls!!
So sweet!
Awwww. =)
aww, how cute! my dd is 15 months and has really gotten into her dolls lately-- and I keep wondering where this interest came from-- she just loves to carry the doll around and do all kinds of things with it, even imitating the things that we do with her with her doll.
Those pics are amazing of how fast Penny is growing up... she's so nurturing and so little!! Too sweet. xoxo
